George Mason University Offers Scholarship For Illegal Immigrants

George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, is offering scholarships to illegal immigrants, according to the institution’s website.

The Undocumented Scholars Award is designed to help first-generation students and “students whose immigration status might otherwise hinder them from accessing higher education,” including “undocumented” status, the school’s website states. The deadline for the scholarship is April 15, 2024.

The university also offers a scholarship called the Mason Dream Scholarship, which offers scholarships to students “regardless of Visa, DACA, and/or TPS status,” according to the scholarship description.

Amid the ongoing border crisis, a new poll shows that the majority of Americans support the building of a border wall, according to Monmouth University. The institution’s polling records show that 61% of Americans see illegal immigration as a “serious problem.” A Pew Research Center shows that 80% of Americans think the government is doing a bad job in handling the illegal immigration crisis.
